Enrique Zambrano

コロンビア出身。

北里大学で漢方を学ぶために来日。

１９８０年代後半、留学生仲間とロス・トゥルピアレスとして原宿（のちに代々木公園）で演奏をはじめる。

彼らは決して聴衆から金銭を受け取ることはしなかった。そのかわりに人々が食べ物やお酒を持って集まるようになり、やがてそれが最初のお店『エル・ランチョ』の開店につながっていく。

その後も多くのグループで演奏活動を続け、ＣＭにも数多く出演している。

（高見山と共演した丸八真綿のＣＭなどは記憶している人も多いのではないでしょうか）。

Originally from Colombia.

Enrique came to Japan to study Chinese medicine at Kitasato University.

In the late 1980s, he and his fellow international students began performing as “Los Turpiales” in Harajuku (later Yoyogi Park).

They never accepted money from the audience. Instead, people started gathering with food and alcohol, which eventually led to the opening of the first restaurant, El Rancho.

Since then, he has continued to perform in many groups and has appeared in many commercials.

(Many people may remember the Maruhachi Mawata commercials in which he co-starred with Takamiyama.)
